Exciting Return to Waterloo Road – Janeece is Back!

At last, the secret is out… and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

We’re beyond excited to announce that Chelsee Healey is returning to Waterloo Road as the iconic and much-loved character, Janeece.

Now stepping into a new chapter as mummy Janeece to her daughter Cheryl, audiences will get to see a fresh side to the character, while still enjoying all the humour, heart and unforgettable moments that made her a fan favourite.

Chelsee’s return is sure to be a standout moment for viewers both old and new, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store as Janeece makes her comeback!

Casting Announcement: Sana Ali Joins Waterloo Road

We’re delighted to share some exciting news—Sana Ali will be appearing in the current series of Waterloo Road, taking on the role of Badr Azzi.

Even more special, Sana joins her real-life sister, Aabay Ali, who is already a familiar face on the show as Mollie “Mog” Richardson.

It’s fantastic to see both sisters sharing the screen in such a well-loved series, and we’re incredibly proud to see Sana stepping into this exciting new role.

Exciting News: Laine Actor Bruce Voices Cyril in My Friend Maisy

We’re thrilled to share that Laine child actor Bruce voices the character of Cyril in the brand new Sky animation series My Friend Maisy.

Bruce, who attends Laine Acting Workshop, secured this fantastic role in his very first casting—an incredible achievement and a true testament to his natural talent and hard work.

We are so proud to see Bruce bringing Cyril to life in this exciting new series and can’t wait to see what he does next. Be sure to tune in and listen out for him!

Laine Acting Showcases Take to the Stage at The Lowry

In January 2026, our talented students took to the stage at The Lowry for the Laine Management Teen Actors Showcase and Actors Showcase.

The performances featured a fantastic selection of our Laine Acting students, each demonstrating their skill, confidence and creativity in front of a live audience. From powerful monologues to engaging scene work, the showcases were a true celebration of the hard work and dedication our students bring to their craft.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who performed and would like to thank all who attended and supported the events. It was a brilliant way to kick off 2026 and highlight the exceptional talent within Laine Acting.
